First Minister: 'No damage' from Labour AMs' anger over MP's protest

First Minister Carwyn Jones says all Labour members in Wales understand the need for a 'safe, sustainable' health service. I reported yesterday that Labour AMs were angry that Shadow Wales Office Minister Nia Griffith had spoken at a protest against hospital shake-up plans.

At his monthly press conference, I asked Carwyn Jones, if he thought any damage had been done by the row. He said,

No. There was a petition handed into the Assembly's petition committee and as is usually the case when a petition is handed in a number of people were there to support it. As far as Labour AMs are concerned, they understand the need (for) a safe, sustainable health service. I'm sure that's a view held by all Labour members across Wales.
