Read the full storyA pedestrian who died in a crash in Rhos-on-Sea has been named by police as Celia Mary Service. The 72-year-old from Colwyn Bay died and another woman was seriously injured yesterday afternoon. The driver was also taken to hospital but his injuries were not thought to be serious.
A pedestrian has died after a car crash in Rhos-on-Sea. North Wales Police say that one vehicle was involved in the collision on Rhos Road this afternoon. A woman in her 70's died at the scene. Another pedestrian has received serious injuries, the driver of the car has also been taken to hospital.
A spokesperson for North Wales Police said:
"Emergency vehicles are still at the scene and are likely to be for several hours. The promenade at Rhos on Sea has been closed between Cayley Embankment and Penrhyn Road, Rhos on Sea. HM Coroner has been informed."
North Wales Police are asking any person who witnessed the collision, or who may have information to assist this investigation to contact the Roads Policing Unit at St Asaph on 101.
