Olchfa school 'shocked and saddened' by pupil's death

The headteacher of Olchfa Comprehensive School in Swansea says the school is "shocked and saddened" by the sudden death of a 15-year-old pupil.

At this time we are unaware of the circumstances that led to his death but we are acutely aware of how it will affect his friends, his teachers and the wider school community.

It is impossible to describe the sense of grief we feel for his family and our hearts go out to them at this time. There is nothing we can say to take away their pain. He has been taken away from them, from us, in the most tragic of circumstances and we are all struggling to come to terms with it.

– Hugh Davies, Headteacher at Olchfa Comprehensive School

Support is in place for pupils and teachers, Mr Davies added.
