Winston Roddick: 'I believe I acted in a proper manner'

North Wales Police and Crime Commissioner Winston Roddick says he believes he acted in a 'right and proper manner' following allegations that he committed an election offence by lying about where he lives.

It is alleged Mr Roddick claimed he was living in North Wales - a requirement under electoral rules - when his home is actually in South Wales.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission confirmed an investigation is in its early stages following a referral.

I believe I acted in a right and proper manner, but the IPCC is required to investigate such complaints and is doing so in a perfectly proper and transparent way.
