A Health Board spokesperson said:
"We would like to reassure residents that there are no plans to close Prince Philip Hospital in Llanelli and in fact the focus is very much on upgrading services across the whole of Hywel Dda."
The added that a widespread engagement exercise was underway:
This is the opportunity for all Llanelli residents to voice how they believe their health services should be delivered to meet local need and we welcome all their feedback
