Warren Gatland, alongside WRU Chief Executive Roger Lewis, at the Senedd last night.
Wales coach Warren Gatland has told ITV Wales that he'd welcome the chance to coach the British & Irish Lions.
Gatland is seen as the favourite to be named head coach for the three-test trip in 2013.
"It's all up in the air the moment. I've had discussions before the Six Nations, but nothing formal since" he said.
"I'd love to be involved in some form with the Lions. It's a great honour.
"I actually think it'd be good if I wasn't involved in one of the [Wales] campaigns going forward - really good for the development of one of the younger coaches taking the team for a campaign."
