Justice Wyn Williams has today sentenced John Mason to life in prison for the murder of 66 year old Angelika Dries-Jenkins.
Mason will serve a minimum of 30 years in prison before being considered for parole.
On sentencing Mason Justice Wyn Williams said:
You've been convicted of a brutal and heartless murder and you did it so you could steal Angelika Dries-Jenkins' money. This was a despicable crime. You spent her money and went about it without a care in the world.
There is a very real likelihood you will spend the rest of your life in jail
