Barmouth man accused of racist gesture

A man from Barmouth has been charged over alleged racist gestures made during an FA Cup game between Liverpool and Manchester United in January. Philip Gannon, 58, was bailed to appear at Liverpool Justice Centre on 20 April.

A Merseyside Police statement said: "58-year-old Phillip Gannon, of Heol Meirion, Barmouth, has been charged with a racially aggravated section five public order offence and a section five public order offence."
