Police warn anyone insulting victim will be 'dealt with robustly'

North Wales police say that anyone who insults the woman at the centre of the Ched Evans rape case will be "dealt with robustly."

Detective Chief Inspector Steve Evans said that when criminal offences are identified the offenders will be "brought to justice."

I would advise people who post such status and tweets to consider the implications of their action and those who add comments to appreciate that they may be condoning such behaviour and contributing to the continued trauma upon this young woman.

– Detective Chief Inspector Steve Evans
