Blaenau Gwent: Full results, Labour gain
Labour have 33 of the 42 seats on Blaenau Gwent Council, with Independents holding the other 9. The independents lost a total of 17 seats to Labour. The borough had long been a Labour stronghold until a breakaway from the local party, led by the late AM and MP Peter Law.
