The Court of Appeal have confirmed today that lawyers for Ched Evans have lodged an appeal against the former Welsh footballer's rape conviction. The 23 year old was sentenced to five years in April for raping a 19 year old woman in a Rhuddlan hotel last year. No hearing has yet been fixed.
