Leonard Thomas and Craig Roderick are due to be repatriated to RAF Brize Norton this afternoon, along with a third man, Apete Tuisovurua from Fiji, who died alongside them.
Mr Roderick, from Cardiff, was a guardsman for the 1st Battalion Welsh Guards, along with Mr Tuisovurua. Mr Thomas served with the The Royal Corps of Signals.
The MoD confirmed that the three men were killed when a man dressed in an Afghan police uniform opened fire at them.
