The Independent Police Complaints Commission is investigating actions and decision-making in a South Wales Police control room, after the death of a woman in a crash. Jennifer Evans, 31 and from Merthyr Tydfil, was a passenger in a stolen van which crashed on the A4061 Rhigos Mountain Road in May.
IPCC Commissioner for Wales Tom Davies said: "The investigation will focus on the actions and decision-making within the control room. Our investigators will also look at this in relation to force training and policies. We will publish our findings in due course."
A man has been charged in connection with the incident on 24 May.
