Cardiff post box painted gold for Geraint
More gold for Geraint - but this time not a medal.
Following Team GB's success in the men's team pursuit yesterday, this post box in Geraint Thomas' hometown of Cardiff has been painted gold in his honour.
The post box is situated opposite Cardiff Castle.
A post box will also be painted in Huddersfield for fellow cyclists Ed Clancy and in Colne, Lancashire, for Steven Burke.
Meanwhile the Isle of Man Post Office, which is independent of the Royal Mail network, will be making its own arrangements to paint a post box gold for its gold-medal-winning resident Peter Kennaugh.
The four have also been commemorated on a special Royal Mail postage stamp.
