The day after A Level results are released, an exclusive opinion poll for ITV Wales reveals most Welsh people do not think that pupils are equipped with the skills to succeed in their lives when they leave school.

A-level results: Welsh breakdown

There has been joy and disappointment at schools across Wales as A level students got their exam results.

There was a slight increase in the overall pass rate - for another year, but a fall in the numbers getting the top A grades. And more worryingly, Welsh students are still doing less well than their opposite numbers in England.
