One man has been charged with two counts of attempted murder after two people in their 60s were stabbed in Llandudno on Monday.

Llandudno man remanded in custody for attempted murder

A 66-year-old man has appeared before magistrates in Llandudno today accused of stabbing a couple.

Sean Tierney, of Ffordd Dulyn, Llandudno, is charged with the attempted murder of neighbours Nigel and Margery Gibbs on Monday.

He was remanded in custody until September 3 at Caernarfon crown court. No application for bail was made.

North Wales police said the alleged victims were in a stable condition.
