A six-year-old girl has been airlifted to hospital after a hit and run incident with a vehicle in Barry.
Taya Louise Nurton is in intensive care after a collision involving a grey or silver coloured estate-type vehicle on Winston Road just before 5pm yesterday, although her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
The driver did not stop and left the scene.
Police believe that the driver may not be aware that the child had been knocked over but need to speak to that driver urgently, a spokesperson says.
