Dragons and Wales flanker Dan Lydiate will have surgery today, after breaking his left ankle while playing for the region on Friday night. The 24-year-old had to be helped from the pitch at Rodney Parade just three minutes into the game against Edinburgh.

He is certain to miss his country's autumn internationals. Wales play Argentina, Samoa, New Zealand and Australia on successive weekends in November and early December.
