Karen Skipper - John Pope Appeal

John Pope who was convicted of murdering Karen Skipper in 1996 has launched an appeal against his conviction. Pope was found guilty after a retrial at Newport Crown Court in July 2011.

Judges from the Court of Appeal have been hearing the case of a Cardiff man who was found guilty of one of the city's most notorious murders.

The court is considering the case of John Pope, who was found guilty of the murder of Karen Skipper.

Her body was found in the River Ely in 1996.
