Former pupil guilty of hacking into school computers

A former pupil has been convicted of hacking into his school's computer system.

20-year-old Matthew Higgins, from Old Colwyn in Conwy, denied getting unauthorised access into the computer system at Eirias High School in Colwyn Bay. He is now a biology student at Southampton University.

He was found guilty by a jury at Caernarfon Crown Court and could face jail. The judge has said that all options are open when Higgins is sentenced at the end of the month.
