Prestatyn cinema remembers fire dead
A cinema in Prestatyn is holding a day of events to remember a former worker, who died with four other members of his family in a flat fire. Liam Timbrell worked in the cafe at the Scala Cinema for two-and-a-half years.
A Harry Potter film will be shown this afternoon, as colleagues used to call Liam 'Little Harry' because of his resemblance to the teenage wizard.
There is also a buffet, raffle, silent auction, bouncy castle and face-painting. The money raised will be given to Liam's family, and also go towards a permanent memorial to him in the cafe.
"It will I'm sure be an emotional day, but it will also be a positive one, with happy memories. He was a very happy person", the cinema's operations manager Nia Hughes said.
