Copper piping stolen from thirteen houses
North Wales police say that copper piping was stolen from thirteen houses in Porthmadog in the early hours of Saturday morning. Some residents have been left without hot water and heating.
– PC Ian Roberts, North Wales PoliceThis was a very brazen crime with thieves going from one property to another on the small estate. The copper piping was connected to the gas boilers and several metres of piping was stolen.
Repairing the damage will cost hundreds of pounds and police are appealing for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious to contact them.
