Murder jury hears about the day 7 year-old Yaseen Ali Ege died

Sara Ege wept in court as she described the day her son died. She said that her husband Yousef was responsible for what happened.

Me and Yousef were arguing in the playroom and he punched me and kicked me to my stomach on the floor. I was screaming and Yaseen came into the playroom and he tried to help me by saying: "Don't hurt mummy". Yaseen was beaten as he tried to help me and he was kicked twice.

The jury was asked to leave the court room as Ege cried uncontrollably into her hands. She denies murder and her husband, Yousef Ege, denies causing or allowing the death of a child.
