Barry's Andrew Selby has convincingly beaten Pro Italian fighter Daniele Limone by unanimous decision in the inaugural World Series of Boxing at Newport's Celtic Manor.
Selby, who fought in the London 2012 Olympics helped Great Britain to a 2-0 lead over the visiting Italian team, after Irishman Joe Joyce saw off Matteo Modugno by stoppage in the +91kg category.
The event brings together teams from all over the world to fight as a team and offers fighters the unusual ability to mix amateur and professional fighters together without risking losing amateur status.
– Andrew Selby
He was a really awkward opponent. I felt a bit rested as I've been off since the olympics. I've moved up to 54 kg so they're big and strong and I've just got to keep up.
