Temperatures got down to -3.5C at Tredegar last night and chances are we could see similar temperatures tonight, but ahead of that we've got a chilly afternoon to come. Highs of just 6-7C and there's not much in the way of sunshine to take the chill off.
Add to that the chance of some light and patchy rain and it's a rather dreary end to the week.Tonight temperatures fall to -3C in places and with light winds we could see the return of some isolated freezing fog patches. Later in the night some showers move mainly in to north Wales.
With low temperatures we could see an increased ice risk in places and also the showers turning wintry particularly on higher ground.
Showers continue tomorrow, but hopefully some brighter spells in between.
Icy by night, chilly by day - brace yourself for a cold week ahead.
High pressure keeps the weather chilly by day, icy by night, with an increasing risk of freezing fog.
High pressure this weeks means mainly cold bright days and icy cold nights.
