It's normally the postie's job to deliver gifts at this time of year but today a postman in Ruthin will be the one receiving a special delivery.
Following the floods earlier this month, Welsh Secretary David Jones, will visit the Glasdir Estate in Ruthin to offer his personal thanks to the postman who summoned help from the local sorting office as he began to see the water rising.
Eleven staff came out to help residents save their valuables and check that people were safe.
As a gift to say thank you the Welsh Secretary will give the staff a bottle of House of Commons scotch.
