The cold and crisp weather we've had came to an abrupt end with the arrival of some heavy rain. Whilst it's not exactly mild, it's certainly less cold than it has been. There are two bands of rain, so if you see a break in the wet weather, chances are there's more on the way before it clears.
The rest of the day sees that rain heading northeast. Once the main rainband clears there will be plenty of showers following on behind. It will be less cold than of late, but still feeling chilly.
