Fake bomb robber jailed

A man from the Neath Valley who carried out a string of amateur robberies using a fake bomb has been jailed for seven-and-a-half-years Lloyd Kieran Jones, who's 32 and from Glynneath, stole more than £7,00 over two weeks, as he hit shops from Haverfordwest to Worcester.

Cardiff Crown Court heard how all of his victims were female members of staff. He used crude disguises, such as wearing a plaster over an eye or fake glasses, and gave hand-written notes saying he had a bomb. He pleaded guilty to six counts of robbery and two of attempted robbery.
