Turning cloudy again

Today was glorious, lovely winter sunshine and for some places, cloudless skies.

Tonight will be cold and frosty, the return of some thick fog patches. Temperatures down to freezing in places. By the end of the night the cloud returns to the far south.

Thursday sees more cloud arriving from the west, meanwhile mist and fog patches from overnight may linger, although some places will remain bright. By the end of the day some light rain returns to south Wales.

It will feel cooler than today with highs of 5-7C.

More light rain edges across the country on Friday, followed by more persistent and slightly heavier rain on Saturday. Sunday sees the rain clearing, cloud hanging on but much colder temperatures. Temperatures will remain in low single figures marking the start of a cold spell.
