Many parts of Wales woke to a whiteout after heavy snow swept across the country during the early hours of this morning.
The rest of the day sees the main snow band heading northeast with lighter snow flurries moving in behind. It will be very cold with highs of -2 to +1 Celsius.
Strong winds add a windchill making it feel like -15C in places. A red warning of severe disruption thanks to the snow continues to be in force until 9pm this evening across south east Wales. An amber warning is in force for the rest of the country.
