ITV Daybreak's Katy Fawcett visited 79-year-old Betty Jenkins in Ponthir, Newport today to talk about the importance of keeping an eye on elderly neighbours and relatives in cold weather.
Betty is visited daily by a helper from the WVRS charity, who gives her assistance around the house.
"She calls on me everyday. I know i'm going to see somebody if I need anything" says Betty.
