Wales Midwife of the Year: 'I feel very humbled'

Brenda Foulkes from Bangor has been named 'Wales Midwife of the Year' by the Royal College of Midwives.

She was nominated by one of her patients, Kirsty Parry, for 'going above and beyond' during her pregnancies, including the support she provided after her daughter was stillborn.

At the awards ceremony in London, Brenda said it was 'a privilege and an honour' to be chosen.

She added: "For a busy mum like Kirsty to take the time to put my name forward... I'm very humbled."
