Welsh cyclist Geraint Thomas is still in the lead of the Tour Down Under, with two stages of the race to go. The Cardiff rider is five seconds ahead of his nearest challenger, after four stages of the race in Australia.
He won his second Olympic gold medal in the veledrome in the summer. He rides on the road for Team Sky.
'It was a stressful day as there was a bit of wind and I think everyone was thinking about the potential cross-wind sections', he said. 'The boys were great. We stayed near the front with about 10 kilometres to go and they kept me out of trouble.'
