Estyn education report

There is still cause for concern over standards of reading, writing and numeracy in schools in Wales, according to the education watchdog Estyn. It also says the number of schools judged to be "good" or "excellent" is down on last year.

Estyn report reveals concern over standards

Ann Keene is the Chief Inspector at Estyn. She says: "The core business of a school or a college or any other provider is basically to do with the teaching and learning that happen there.

"I would like to see leaders in schools taking on that responsibility very directly."
