The manager of the Gleision Mine is due to appear in Cardiff Magistrates Court today as part of the investigation into the death of four miners in 2011.
Malcolm Fyfield is charged with four counts of gross negligence manslaughter. The company MNS Mining Limited has also been charged with four counts of corporate manslaughter.
Charles Breslin, Philip Hill, Garry Jenkins and David Powell all died when the mine flooded in September 2011.
