Brightening up, but bitterly cold!

Today: A rather cloudy start, with outbreaks of rain, sleet or hill snow. Mainly dry through the afternoon, with sunny spells developing, but rain showers will continue along the west coast. Cold. Gales in the west gradually moderating in the afternoon. Maximum Temperature 7 °C.

Tonight: A clear and cold night with a frost developing in many places. However occasional showers continuing along the west coast, perhaps spreading further inland later. Winds will continue to ease. Minimum Temperature -1 °C.

Thursday: A frosty start in the east. Showers, continuing in the west. Cloud thickening through the day, with outbreaks of rain, sleet and hill snow probably arriving through the afternoon. Cold. Maximum Temperature 6 °C.
