Search for Ben Thompson 'will continue over the weekend'

Police searching for missing Haverfordwest man Ben Thompson are to continuing to examine areas near to where he was last seen on CCTV.

Search teams are continuing to focus their efforts in this area particularly the woodlands, the River Ely and the banks of the A4232.

There have been no further confirmed sightings of Ben since he was seen on CCTV walking at the end of Lawrenny Avenue and there has been no activity on his mobile phone.

The search and rescue operation will continue in this area over the weekend and into next week.

Ben’s family are desperately worried and continue to be supported and updated by family liaison officers.

Rugby fan's body identified

South Wales Police says the body found in the River Ely on Tuesday is that of missing Haverfordwest man Ben Thompson. The 34-year-old went missing in February after going to a Six Nations game in the capital.
