A rainy day for many, a snowy day for some

Sunday sees a more active cold front bring heavier rain in from the west, where this meets colder air there could be some sleet and snow, but it's not expected to cause too much disruption. Keep an eye out for warnings on the Met Office website, as these are being updated.

That rain moves east during the afternoon, so everywhere will see some wet weather but not everywhere seeing snow. Highs range from a cold 2-3C to a milder 6C in the south and west.

It remains cold next week with a chilly wind coming in from the east and northeast, unfortunately it will be mainly cloudy too so a dreary and overcast few days. It may be brighter on Wednesday but that only heralds more rain later in the week.
