Wales interim coach Rob Howley admitted "there is obvious relief" among the players and coaches, after they beat France 16-6 in Paris to record a first win in nine test matches.
Howley said he'd been assuring his players that you "don't become a bad team overnight", and "the belief and confidence you can get from this result is so important and we can take that now over to Italy."
George North scored the only try in a 16-6 victory in Paris. Wales celebrated hard, after ending a run of eight defeats in a row.
Wales prepare to face Les Bleus at Stade de France later, as they fight to stay in this season's Six Nations title race.
