Swansea City defender Chico Flores is "very unlikely" to be fit for the Capital One Cup final later this month, after tests confirmed he ruptured ligaments in his right ankle during the win over QPR.
The Spaniard was stretchered off after 34 minutes yesterday, and taken to hospital, where a scan confirmed the injury.
"It's difficult at the moment to assess how long he will be out, because we need the swelling to go down first", Swansea's head physio Kate Rees said. "But he is very unlikely to make the cup final."
Chico travelled with the rest of the squad to Dubai this morning for a break, and will receive treatment from the club's medical stuff there.
