Snow, then rain, then milder weather heading our way

A big change in the weather heads our way over the next 48 hours with milder weather returning to Wales.

Tonight cloud builds from the west. Temperatures fall to around -1C, but in clear spells it could fall further.

Wednesday morning sees the arrival of a rain band which when hitting the cold air readily turns to snow before turning back to rain. There could be significant falls in the north east of Wales where a yellow warning has been issued.

Later in the day heavier rain will bring milder temperatures and wash away the earlier snow. Highs between a wintry 1C and a milder 5-6C further west. It will be rather windy here too.Thursday & Friday should be brighter and milder with temperatures back where they should be for the time of year.
