A band of snow, sleet and rain is crossing Wales today, there is a yellow warning in force for north eastern counties of Wales as several centimetres could fall before the snow turns to rain later. Temperatures will be rather chilly in the northeast with highs of around 1C, up to 5C elsewhere.
Tonight an active cold front brings more heavy rain across the country, washing away the snow, but thanks to the timing will see temperatures continuing to rise during the evening and overnight.
Thursday sees the rain clearing early to bring brighter weather across Wales, a dry start to the day too. Into the afternoon we may see some showers develop but likewise parts of the country should enjoy some fine winter sunshine. Highs of 8-9C which will feel rather pleasant!
