Search teams looking for missing rugby fan Ben Thompson will use specialist sonar equipment on a stretch of the River Ely today.
The 34-year-old from Haverfordwest went missing in Cardiff on February 2nd, the day of the Six Nations game between Wales and Ireland.
Ben was captured on CCTV walking down a lane at the end of Lawrenny Avenue towards wasteland at 7:17pm that night. There have been no further confirmed sightings of Ben since he was seen on CCTV and there has been no activity on his mobile phone.
South Wales Police said yesterday that they are now focusing their efforts on the river and ground searches are understood to have stopped 'subject to any new information'.
