A chilly start to Friday was more than made up for by the presence of some winter sunshine. Apart from a little blip tomorrow the pattern for the days ahead is for dry, settled but rather chilly weather.
This afternoon is mainly sunny with some variable cloud drifting about. Highs of 8-9C. There isn't a great deal of wind around so that should feel rather pleasant.
Tonight starts with clear spells and temperatures dropping away, with light winds expect some significant mist patches to develop across eastern Wales. Further west more cloud arrives and by the end of the night some light rain and drizzle too. This is a weak warm front that will drift northeast.
Saturday keeps the weak front with us so it's likely to be a murky mix of light rain, drizzle and mist. The front moves away later in the day allowing western parts to brighten up a little. Even without the sunshine it will be mild with highs of 8-9C.
