Eight year jail sentence for 'sexsomnia' rapist

Simon Morris was convicted of raping a 15-year-old and sentenced to 8 years in prison

An actor who claimed he had been sleepwalking when he raped a teenage girl has been jailed for eight years at Cardiff Crown Court.

42-year-old Simon Morris, from Newport, has appeared in the West End, a movie with acting legend Michael Caine and in the television soap Hollyoaks. He said he suffered from 'sexsomnia' sleep disorder.

The judge, however, told Morris that it was all "a big act" and found him guilty of raping a 15-year-old at a house part in Newport.
