The weather is set for a big change over the next few days, turning from a very mild 17.5C at Trawscoed earlier in the week to the possible return of snow next week.
This afternoon sees the best of any brightness further west, the rest of Wales remains cloudy and damp with light rain and drizzle. There could be heavier bursts of rain in the far south east of Wales later. It's still quite mild with highs of 11C.
Tonight the cloud insulates us, so no frost. Lows of 5-7C. Further south there could be some mist and fog developing.
Saturday seas colder air arriving from the east and a rainband moving up from the south. Where the two meet across north Wales later in the day, the rain could turn wintry. Temperatures could dip for some into the afternoon with highs of 4-6C. Further south it may be brighter and highs of 8-9C.
