Sentencing adjourned after Stuart Worvell manslaughter verdict

It took the jury two hours to come to their verdict.

20 year old Thomas Sutton died after being stabbed by Worvell outside his house on Tonna Road, Maesteg last year.

The court was told Thomas Sutton and his friend Kyle Harris knocked on Worvell's door as they heard music in the early hours of the morning.

The court was played police interviews with Worvell, who claimed he had stabbed the men in self defence as they attempted to attack him with pieces of wood.

There were cries from friends of Thomas Sutton towards Worvell as he was taken down from the dock.

He has been remanded in custody until sentencing at a later date.
