One person has died after an accident at the entrance of the Brynglas Tunnels this morning.
Gwent Police say the driver, a 67-year-old man from the Cardiff area, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident involved one vehicle, which collided with a wall and an electrical sub-station.
Police say work to recover the vehicle and debris has now been completed and the Eastbound M4 has reopened but congestion remains very heavy in the area.
