500,000 tonnes of sand will create new beach

Sand will be imported 24 hours a day, for the next four weeks.

A £6m sea defence project along Colwyn Bay's seafront will see 500,000 tonnes of sand brought in to create a brand new beach.

The sand importation is funded by Welsh Government as part of the sea defence work, and will also provide a beach which will be available at both high and low tide.
