The Met Office has issued a Yellow "be aware" warning of snow for parts of Mid and North Wales.

It applies to Isle of Anglesey, Gwynedd, Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Powys and Wrexham.

It says there'll be over 10 cm in places inland and much more over higher ground.

Strong winds will mean atrocious conditions with blizzards and drifting. Forecasters say it's increasingly likely the warning will be upgraded to the more serious Amber, "be prepared" level, for parts of the area.
